Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Carbine, CAL: marked 348 WCF, MFG: 1942, SN: 22467, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' Round barrel, Short tang. This rifle has been professionally restored. The stock is a long tang replacement, which has a very well done inlay of wood filling in the gap to the short metal tang. The refinished, checkered, capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, displaying virtually no defects. The restored metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Bore is very good, with defined rifling. Attatched to the bolt is the rare bolt peep sight.
The barrel has an adjustable rear elevator sight, with a ramp to blade front sight, no hood. Buttstock carries a checkered metal buttplate. Sling provisions. A very nicely restored rifle, in collectible condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
