Winchester Model 1887, CAL: 10GA, MFG: 1889, SN: 22313, Lever Action Shotgun, 32'' barrel. The Model 1887 was a fast firing & extremely powerful firearm, designed by John Browning. It was introduced during some of the most controversial years of the American West. Sportsman weren't the only people that took interest, it was popular among lawmen, prison guards & stage coach drivers. The standard address/patent dates marking are stamped on the lower tang. The professionally refinished, round pistol grip wood stock with two piece forend are excellent. The buttstock is near mint & the forend displays minor scrapes & contusions. The restored metal blue finish on the barrel & tube rates 99% & the receiver is case-colored rating 99%. The left side of the receiver is marked with the ''WRA Co'' monogram. Bore is very good with some roughness & spotting. The barrel holds a single front bead. Buttstock carries a less common checkered metal buttplate. A beautifully restored early shotgun in collector condition. LOP: 12 11/16''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
