Japanese Arisaka/Carcano Model: Type 1 CAL: 6.5x50, MFG: 1930's, SN:B5256, Bolt Action Rifle, 31'' round barrel. Pistol grip two piece light wood stock is in very good condition, displaying some surface blemishes, gouging & dulling wear at carry points to the original finish. The metal finish rates 60% on barrel & receiver. Blue on trigger guard & floorplate rates 25%. Bore is very good with clear rifling. Rear sight is ladder adjustable w/ graduation marks from 4 to 24. Front sight is inverted ''V'' dovetailed to base. The buttstock carries a standard metal buttplate that is ill fitting & appears to have been welded /ground down at the middle section. Sling swivels at bottom of buttstock & sling swivel in forend. Serial number stamped in barrel is only markings on this rifle. Made in Italy, this is a Carcano action coupled with an Arisaka magazine system. Appears similar to the type 38 rifle. Comes with bayonet & metal scabbard. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
