BOXED, Ward's Western Field, Model 04M 497A, CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: Late 1930's, Early 1940's, SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent. There are minor scrapes, dings & small areas of thinning or flaking to the original finish. The metal blue finish rates 95% overall, beginning to tone to a brown patina. Bore is excellent. The receiver holds a side-mounted scope base. Included is a factory scope, held by a Wards Model 20 base, but the scope does not appear to attach to the gun with the current hardware. The barrel holds a disc adjustable rear sight & hooded cone front sight. Grooved plastic buttplate. Comes in original box, with owners manual & other paper articles.
