Marlin, Model 1894, Marked .25-20 Cal., MFG. 1910-20, SN: 427710, Lever Action Carbine, 20 1/2'' Octagon, Full mag., The straight grip wood stocks are good & solid, having been heavily sanded & reoiled. The stock have a few minor handling marks remaining. Metal is proud to wood at tangs, receiver & buttplate. The original metal blue finish on barrel & mag has worn to a mix of gun metal gray, remnants of blue & brown patina, with spotty areas of cleaned pitting. The receiver has worn to gun metal gray, with thin spots of brown patina. Some faint remains of the original case-colors on the case-hardened lever. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & blade front sights, with cleaned pitting on the rear sight. One of the tang screw holes has a brass filler pin. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Bore is poor with heavy pitting & scarring amonst faint rifling. Tight action. Popular little caliber for varmint hunting. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
