American Arms Co, Swing Out Shotgun G.H. Fox Patent, CAL: 10GA, MFG: 1870-84, SN: 210, Break Action Side Swing Shotgun, 30'' twisted steel barrels. The checkered straight grip wood stock is very good & solid. There is a 2'' edge chip at the toe, alongside scratches, scrapes, nicks & dings. The checkering is beginning to wear smooth from years of handling. The barrel has fully worn to gun metal grey, with some areas of oxidization. The twisted steel pattern is still visible in some areas. Bores are fair, consistently rough. The receiver is case-hardened, with mostly shadowing remaining & some remnants of case-coloring in protected areas. The solid rib holds two beads, one brass bead that's 3 1/2'' from the chamber & one bead at the muzzle. Stock carries a smooth metal buttplate. Once considered a very high quality shotgun, they were produced in small quantities into the early 1890's. LOP: 14 1/8'', DAC: 2'', DAH: 3 1/4''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 250 to 500
