Izhevsk, Model: M38, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1943, S/N: HE8267, bolt action rifle, 20 1/2'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip wood stock is good, stock has been lightly sanded & refinished & has light nicks, dings & wear from use/age, tight repaired crack at rear of stock by toe that wraps around the stock. The metal finish rates 90% overall with light scratches. Top of barrel is marked with Factory stamps, S/N, ''1943r'' & other proof marks, end of barrel is marked with Importer stampings, S/N matched Bolt, magazine floorplate, buttplate. Bore is very good bright with light roughness, has been counter bored. Post front sight with protective globe, Tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 10. Metal buttplate. Has cleaning rod, period correct sling, missing front barrel band. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 250 to 500
