Winchester, Model 1892, CAL: 44 WCF, MFG: 1904, SN: 257846, Lever Action Rifle, 24 1/4'' Round barrel. Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with several minor scratches, scrapes & contusions to the original thinning finish. The original metal finish on barrel & mag rates 70%, with areas of thinning & several tiny abrasions or nicks toning to a brown patina. The blue on the receiver has aged & toned to an even chocolate brown patina, with remnants of original blue found on the more protected areas on the rears of the receiver. Bore is very good & bright, with thinning rifling. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & pinch blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action. A very nice original & collectible example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
