Savage, Model 1899, Take-down, marked 303 Cal., MFG: 1921, SN: 234609, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Tapered round barrel. The factory straight grip wood stock & schnabel forend are very good & solid, with numerous small handling marks, scratches & contusions to the original finish. There is a small chip at the toe. The original blue finish rates 75% on the barrel, 60% on receiver, with most wear found on the belly. The lever displays faint remains of case-coloring. The stock carries the original Savage serrated metal buttplate. Barrel fitted with a two leaf folding rear & tall blade front sights. Bore is very good. Top of receiver carries 4 filler screws from previous scope mounting. Action is smooth & tight. Nice overall appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
