RARE Winchester, Model 1873, DELUXE 2nd Model, .44-40 (unmarked) Cal., MFG. 1882 Antique, SN: 85035, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Half octagon half round barrel, 1/2 button mag, The Deluxe X checkered straight grip wood stock & forend are excellent, solid & original, with the majority of the original finish, with possibly some added protective oils. The checkering remains excellent, remaining with very few light handling marks & a tiny 1/4'' hairline crack at the tip of the forend. Original blue on barrel is 50% turning plumb as it thins. The case-hardened receiver, lever & hammer show the faded outlines toning brown, with some nice case-colors in protected areas. The dust cover has is tight & slides well, with some blue remaining. Barrel address is strong. Bore is very good with strong lands & grooves & some roughness. Has adj. Buckhorn rear sight & flip up globe front sight. Sliding trapdoor crescent buttplate. Tight smooth lever & action. Rifle comes with a Cody Winchester Factory records letter which correctly validates current configuration & features. Excellent eye appeal on this original & highly collectible, deluxe, half Oct. half round barrel 1873 rifle.* No FFL Req. - Value: 15000 to 20000
