Description

Winchester, Model 1894, 30 WCF Cal., MFG. 1909, SN: 480137, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Half octagon/half round barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are good & solid, but have been sanded & refinished. The stock carries a non-professionally installed Pachmayr brown ventilated buttpad which required an added piece of wood to fill the top tang from the replaced crescent metal buttplate. The stock were also non-professionally checkered. Stock have several minor handling marks & contusions, & there are areas of black staining from being oil soaked along the edges of metal at receiver & forend cap. Forend has a couple of minor & tight hairline cracks. The metal surfaces were once heavily pitted & have seen aggressive cleaning & buffing. Barrel, mag & forend cap were non-professionally re-blued over the rust pit scarring & buff lines. The receiver was left silver with lots of rust pit scarring. The rifle carries a Lyman tang sight, folding Marbles folding rear sight & replaced front sight which have also been reblued over pitting. Action appears to function properly. Bore is good with strong rifling. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
