Description

FANTASTIC FACTORY DELUXE Winchester, Model 1895 SRC, CAL. marked .30 ( 30 ARMY), MFG. 1899, SN: 22408, Lever Action, 22'' Tapered round barrel, The deluxe, exhibition grade, checkered stocks are a professional replacement & are excellent, with the military style top handguard. They display gorgeous scalloped & feathered grain & a deep rich finish. Very few tiny handling marks. The original blue metal finish remains at 75% overall, which is unusually high for this particular model. Fitted with military style rear ladder sight & SRC front sight. Sliding trapdoor metal carbine buttplate. Carries the desirable saddle ring, which was an option, but not standard with this model. Very good bore. Comes with a copy of a Cody Factory Records Letter which confirms the ''Fancy, Checkered Stock'' & caliber. Letter also notes the factory engraved name of ''Fred W. Lyon'' which was placed on the upper right side of receiver. He is a mystery & your challenge to discover who he was. Overall, excellent. It would be hard to improve aesthetically upon this fine example of a deluxe Winchester 1895 SRC. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 5000 to 7000
