Description

Marlin, Model 1891 .32 RF Short/Long Cal. MFG. 1893, SN: 74454, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original checkered deluxe, scalloped pistol grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The forearm has a 1'' contusion plus small chip at the back bottom edge where it meets the receiver. Several small nicks, contusions & scratches. The original finish is thinning at the carry points of the pistol grip & along the bottom of the forearm. The original blue metal finish is 70% on barrel & mag, while the receiver retains a thin brown patina with some blue remaining in protected areas. Mounted with standard rear sight & Lyman front sight missing the bead. Bore is good, dark & some roughness, but strong rifling. Crescent metal buttplate. Tight action. The firing pin can be swapped so the rifle could fire .32 CF short/long cal. This old deluxe lever has seen some use, but remains a collectible shooter. No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
