RARE Marlin, Model 94 SRC (TRAPPER), marked 44-40 Cal., MFG. 1907-48, SN: 386242, Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, 15 1/4'' Round barrel, Full mag., This is a rare ''Policias Fiscales Chile'' carbine/trapper. This short carbine has been removed by serial number from the provisions of the NFA & comes with the ATF/FTB letter stating such. The condition of this little ''Trapper'' is quite nice. The plain walnut buttstock & forend are very good & solid, having been previously sanded & refinished. The stocks carry numerous scrapes, scratches & contusions. The barrel, receiver & magazine are toning to a smooth chocolate patina, with remains of original blue in protected areas. The top of the receiver is factory engraved ''Policias Fiscales Chile'', Chile's first professional national police force. The saddle ring is in place as is the carbine style steel buttplate, stud box front sight & carbine ladder rear. The bore is very good & shiny with a few spots of roughness. Smooth, tight action. This carbine has a nice appearance & remains in very good condition, unlike so many from South America. A rare & very collectable Marlin Trapper.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3500 to 5000
