Sharps Model Single Shot Sporting Rifle, 45-70 Cal, MFG Antique, SN 155088, Lever Action, 28'' octagon barrel, This is a rifle the cosigner indicates has of a receiver of unknown origin. The top barrel flat is marked ''SHARPS RIFLE MANUFG. CO. HARTFORD CONN'' & ''CALIBRE''. The serial number is located on the top tang. The left & right side of the receiver is marked with the two line Sharps patent dates of 1848. Fitted with a folding ladder rear sight & a blade. They barrel has excellent black/blue finish with virtually no wear. The walnut smooth stocks are excellent carrying nearly all their finish & almost no handling marks. The forearm has the silver tip embellishment. The case-hardened receiver, lever, hammer & buttplate all carry excellent & vivid case-colors. The rifle is fitted with a double set trigger. Bore is excellent. This is a fantastic Sharps Sporting rifle in excellent overall condition.* Antique No FFL Req - Value: 2000 to 3000
