Remington Model 30 Express, CAL: 30-06 SPRG, MFG: 1926-40, SN: 15798, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' round barrel. The original checkered, pistol grip & schnabel forend wood stock is good, but well used. The checkering has flattened & the finish has worn thin, with several small contusions, nicks & dings. The stock has the notched out area ahead of the bolt from where a receiver sight once resided. The metal blue finish rates 50% on the receiver, 30% on the barrel trigger guard & floor plate. Bore is good. The rifle is fitted with a vintage Bausch & Lomb Opt. Co. Balfor scope on a unique vintage scope mount made by the same company. The front blade sight has been removed. Buttstock caries a serrated bottom tang crescent metal buttplate & sling studs.
