Sig Sauer, Model SSG 3000, CAL: 308 WIN, MFG: Modern, SN: Y20308, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' round barrel when including the muzzle break. The SIG Sauer SSG 3000 (Scharfschtzengewehr 3000, literally Sharpshooter Rifle 3000) is a bolt-action, magazine fed rifle chambered in 7.6251mm NATO or marked in the U.S. as 308 WIN. It was designed in Switzerland & built in Germany & thus known for it high quality & precision. It is a common law enforcement sniper rifle in both Europe & the U.S.. These rifles were again first built in Germany with a retail price of $2799, but a cheaper later version was made in the U.S. starting in 2014 with a some modification for $1499. This example is the early & much sought after German made example, with the more expensive McMillan stock, glass bedding (rather than the later aluminum bedding), ''Made in Germany'' stamped on the left side of barrel & with European proof stampings on the right side. The original McMillan flat pistol grip black synthetic stock on this example is excellent, with some minor rubs or scuffs. The stock has a wheel dialing adjustable cheek/comb, textured pistol grip & foregrip, & integral bipod rail in the belly of the forearm. The original satin black metal finish rates 99% overall. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver carries a Carl Zeiss 6,5-20x50 MC scope on a picatinny style rail, with no open sight provisions on the barrel. The trigger system is user adjustable to trigger pull weight & travel. Fed via Sig's proprietary 5-round single stack metal magazine, that fits flush with the stock & trigger guard, & with quick drop release button. Stock carries the factory solid McMillan recoil pad, with multiple spacers for LOP adjustment. Factory sling stud in the stock & provision on bipod. Original folding bipod mounted in rail.
