Steyr Model 1903 Mannlicher-Schoenauer Sporting Carbine, CAL: 7.9 mm (Marked on barrel, but told it will likely fire 8mm ammo)., MFG: 1903-24, SN: 12187, Bolt Action Rifle, 20'' round barrel. Built in Austria & believed to fire the German 7.9 mm round. These rifle's biggest claim to fame is the unique rotary magazine that lies beneath the bolt. The cheeked & pistol grip walnut stock is excellent, but does appear to be an expertly made replacement. The grain & finish are excellent, with very few handling marks. The metal blue finish rates 85% overall. Double set triggers. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with a vintage unmarked European scope & mounts. The barrel carries a two leaf rear & hooded ramp front blade sight. Buttstock caries a piece of leather for a buttplate. A unique Austrian made rifle. * FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1500
