CUSTOM U.S. Springfield, Model 1903 Mark I Custom Sporting Rifle, CAL: 30-06, MFG: 1918, SN: 1051153, Bolt Action Rifle, 22 1/2'' tapered barrel. The Mark I is the version of the 1903 which was modified to accept the famous Pederson device. The Fajen 1903 sporting conversion Monte Carlo stock is excellent, with cheek, capped pistol grip & a schnabel forend tip. There are several minor to small scrapes, scratches or contusions to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel & receiver rates 80% overall, with 50% on the floor plate & trigger guard. Bore is very good & bright. The receiver carries a Leupold M7-4X scope, which has toned a plum color, on Weaver rings. The barrel carries the original front sight. Buttstock carries a Fajen plastic buttplate.
