U.S. Springfield Armory, M1 Garand, MFG: Receiver manufactured Feb/Mar 1943, Barrel upgraded to Cal. .308, 7.62 MM marked on barrel, Manufactured 9-65. S/N: 1405197, Semi auto rifle. 24'' Barrel. Wonderful Armory restored & upgraded, with no import marks. Rifle has an aluminum block insert in action to facilitate the feed of shorter 308 cartridges. Armory installed. new fit & finish walnut stock without cartouches. Stocks have some light rubs & dings from handling. All metal surfaces are parkerized rating to 90%. Adjustable post war receiver sight & front blade sight marked NM 062 on sight base. Springfield receiver, barrel, bolt, operating rod & trigger housing. Eagle w/3 stars stamp on operating rod. Gas cylinder port plug is of the grenade launching type. 3 sling swivels, no sling. Bore is excellent. Overall excellent condition & will make a great shooter. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
