CHARLES DALY DRILLING, 12ga x 12ga x 38-55 caliber rifle, SN: 44223, Prussia, Standard drilling, 30-inch tapered matted rib barrels. Nicely figured & finely checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock, with checkered splinter forearm. The wood is very good retaining most of its original finish, with few scuffs. Small hairline crack to top right of wrist. The side locks are lightly engraved with Charles Daly markings at the rear. The case-hardened receiver displays smokey outlines of case-coloring with colors remaining in protected areas. The damascus barrels retain a smooth & even brown patina, with two small dents to the bottom of the right shotgun barrel. The barrels have double lugs, with cross bolt & the receiver has side cocking lever. Bores are all very good. The hidden folding peep sight in the top tang has wind & elevation adjustments. Rib carries front blade sight & a single folding leaf rear sight. The checkered black buttplate is original, with a few small chips. The bottom flat of the barrel is marked ''Prussia'' along with other marks & maker's crowns. Water table on the receiver marked with matching numbers & crowns. Mechanically tight. 13 7/8'' LOP, DAC 1 13/16'', DAH 3'', 8.54 lbs. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
