Spencer, Machine Gun, Wells Fargo & Co. Coach Gun, 12 ga., MFG 1883-1914, SN: 35461, Double hammer barrel break action shotgun, 2 3/4'' Chamber, 21'' Laminated steel pattern barrels with a solid matted rib & single bead. The checkered & round pistol grip stocks are very good, solid & original. Most of the original finish has worn away as the checkering has worn flat, smooth or mostly away. The silver tip in the forearm has been replaced with a crude metal triangle & there is edge wear & chips. There are numerous small handling marks & contusions, along with a large 1'' gouge on the lower left side of stock. The right side of stock is branded, ''WELLS FARGO & CO.''. The left side of stock carries a 2'' oval brand with four stars & three rows, ''WELLS FARGO & CO., SF. CAL., SPECIAL AGENT.'' There is ''W.F.&Co.'' stamped on both the inside of the receiver base & on the underside of the barrel block. The receiver barrels & forearm all carry a mix of numbers. The barrels carry a deep rich plum/brown patina, with some rust speckling. Receiver is mostly silver with light accent engraving. Bores are spotty, but good. Stock carries a black hard rubber buttplate which is well worn with chipping & a small piece missing at the top. The action is tight. LOP 13 1/4''. Comes with a brown canvas ammo belt with a brass ''WF&Co'' belt buckle made by T.C. Orndorff Sole Manf.. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
