Winchester, Model 1901, 10 GA., MFG. 1901 (FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION), SN: 66269, Lever action, Full Choke, 30'', These shotguns were serial numbered as a continuation of the 1887 & ended with SN 67428 in 1901, making this an early first year production gun. The original round knob pistol grip stocks are very good, with numerous small scratches, dings & gouges. They carry the original finish. There is a 1'' chip at the toe pf the stock. Metal blue finish has thinned mostly gray, with the remaining finish toning to a brown patina & some original blue remaining on the lever & in more protected areas. Metal also shows some pitting, scarring & areas of cleaned corrosion, mostly on the barrel. Original checkered metal buttplate. Bore is good, with some light pitting. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter confirming configuration & dates. A good original example or would make a great cowboy action gun. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
