Modern, Suhl, Thuringia Germany, SN: 387907, Double Shotgun, 28'' barrels marked 14.0 on both, M/Imp Cyl, The finely hand checkered & capped pistol grip stock is excellent, with full finish & fabulous figure. Retaining all of its original blue on barrels, trigger guard & lever. Coin finished receiver. The receiver, tangs & trigger guard are beautifully engraved with scroll & game scenes of quail on left side & woodcock on right side. Minty mirror bores. Single trigger. Factory buttplate. Untouched screws. This fine example appears to be NIB, with original paperwork. LOP 14 1/4'', DAC 1 3/8'', DAH 2 5/8'', 5.68lbs, A highly engraved Merkel 28 ga double, which is very sought-after.
