Description

Italian made Jap. Type I, Bolt Action Rifle, Cal. 6.5, MFG 1940's, SN: J-6919, 31'' barrel. An agreement in 1937 among the 3 Axis Powers (JAPAN, Germany & ITALY) for the exchange of industrial help led to the order of 60,000 Rifles by the Japanese government from the Italian government. These rifles were delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy. This example carries an original smooth straight grip 2 piece stock which is excellent, with relatively few contusions. Metal finish is 80% on barrel, 70 toning brown on receiver. Flip-up folding ladder rear & standard front sights. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Bore is very good. Very nice original example.
