Remington, Model: 03-A4 Sniper, Cal: .30-06, MFG: 1943, S/N: 3424569, Bolt action rifle, 24'' barrel. The Semi-Pistol grip type C Walnut stock is excellent with only minor scuffs/scrapes, ''P'' in circle cartouche on bottom of pistol grip, ''RA'' crossed cannons ''FJA'' cartouche on left side of stock above trigger, ''3'' ''z'' ''72'' in circle ''37'' in square, cartouches on bottom of stock Infront of magazine. The parkerized metal finish rates 85% with light wear in areas. Top left of receiver is marked ''U.S.'', ''REMINGTON'', ''MODEL 03-A3'', top right of receiver is marked with the S/N, end of barrel is marked ''R A'', flaming bomb, ''8-43'', & ''P'' on the bottom. has a replaced aftermarket wide trigger that has a light trigger pull. Bore is excellent, bright & mirror like, has 2 groove rifling. Has the later Lyman Alaskan 2.5x scope with the all weather recital & a Redfield scope mount, which is all period correct. The Lyman Alaskan scope was preferred by the army but the 03-A4 originally went to war with the Weaver 330 because the army could not get enough of the Lyman scopes, and most of the fighting with the 03-A4 was done with the weaver but the Lyman scope did see some service on the 03-A4 near the end of the war. Steel trapdoor butt plate, has cleaning kit inside. Bottom sling mounts with stacking swivel. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
