Description

Colt, Model 1860 Army Revolver, 1st Gen., .44 Cal. Percussion, MFG. 1867, S/N: 168125, The top of the 8'' barrel is marked ''--ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA--'', the left side of the frame is marked ''COLTS/PATENT''. The matching serial number is marked on the frame, cylinder, trigger guard & back strap. The cylinder is roll engraved with the naval battle scene, well marked. Blue finished barrel retains 30% coverage, casehardened loading lever, frame & hammer are mostly silver with a trace amount of case-colors to hammer. Brass trigger guard. Fitted with a smooth one piece varnished walnut grips, which are very good, with minor nicks & dings. Bore has strong rifling & fairly clean. The action functions properly. A far above average Colt Model 1860 Navy.* Antique No FFL Req - Value: 1500 to 2500
