Description

Winchester Model 12, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1948, SN: 1153491, Pump Action Shotgun, Choke: F, 26 1/2'' barrel with ventilated rib & Cutts compensator. Once owned & utilized by legendary Salem Oregon trick shooter Rich Walsh. Rick was well known in the NW for the talents he displayed during his exhibitions. He was featured in a Statesman Journal newspaper article, by outdoor reporter Henry Miller, discussing his exploits & history. Rick used his incredible skills to promote shotgun shooting sports, especially among youths. A copy of the article is included with the gun. This shotgun has been partially & professionally restored. The capped pistol grip wood stock is a very nice replacement & is excellent. It has fabulous grain. The factory checkered forearm is also excellent. The wood has very few defects. The refurbished metal blue finish rates 95% overall on the barrel, receiver & mag tube, with some light pitting under the blue. The bore is excellent. The ventilated, matted rib holds a mid-rib bead & the Cutts compensator holds a larger front bead. Buttstock carries a Winchester black checkered buttplate. A very nice looking & quality gun, with a bit of prominence & history. LOP: 14 1/4''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
