Description

S&W, Model K22, .22 LR, 5 Screw, Double Action Revolver, Hand Ejector, Mfg. 1949, SN: K36025, 6'' barrel, The walnut checkered diamond grips are very good with light wear to checking on left side. The original blue finish is 85% with most of the wear at barrel tip from holster wear & to carry points. Has a dragline on cylinder, The case-hardened hammer & trigger have good case-colors. Grooved backstrap & frontstrap, Mechanically excellent. Bore is very good & bright. Has ''R.B. HAYES'' professionally engraved below the cylinder on left side of frame. Rutherford B. ''R.B.'' Hayes, 88, died Nov. 22, 2004, at Brian Center in Goldsboro, N.C.. Mr. Hayes was a retired supervisor with Hampton Industries, veteran of World War II-Army 87th Mountain Infantry Div. & received a Bronze Star in April 1945. Overall, very nice & collectible, with ownership provenance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1300
