Chinese Chiang Kai-Shek Mauser. Model: M1933 short rifle Cal.7.92 X 57 mm. MFG: 1938. SN: AN1063. Chinese version of German standard model short rifle bolt action rifle. 24'' barrel. Stock is two piece pistol grip standard military issue w/ dark stain. Well used condition covered with oil stains, dings, light 2 1/2'' crack at top of wrist chips & scratches of various depths. Wood to metal fit very is fair, typical of this model rifle. Top handgaurd appears to be replacement. Chinese arsenal stamped & other stamps on top of receiver ring along w/ ''38'' for year manufactured. Contains matching serial number on left side of barrel & receiver. Receiver & barrel retain little blue with dark brown patina beginning . Elevator adjustable original military rear sight with graduation markings from 1 to 20 . Front sight is inverted ''V'' dovetailed for windage adjustment on large metal base. Matching SN's throughout on barrel/receiver, bolt & floorplate. Bore is getting dark, with lightly visible rifling. Action appears fully functional.t. Missing cleaning rod. Sling swivels on bottom of buttstock & first barrel band. Standard weapon for Chinese troops from 1936 to 1949. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
