Description

Japanese Arisaka Model: Type 38 Carbine, CAL: 6.5x50, MFG: 1935 to 1945, SN:52819 Bolt Action Rifle, 19'' round barrel. Pistol grip wood stock is rough condition with a lot of battle scars surface blemishes, gouging & dulling wear at carry points to the original finish. The metal finish rates 50% on barrel & receiver. Blue on trigger guard & floorplate rates 25%. Mum is ground off receiver ring leaving kanji for ''TYPE 38'' , serial # & Kokura arsenal stamps on left side of receiver. Bore is very good, showing crisp rifling. Rear sight is ladder adjustable w/ graduation marks from 4 to 20. Front sight is inverted ''V'' dovetailed to base with protective ears on side. The buttstock carries a cupped metal buttplate in dark rust patina. Sling swivels in buttstock & sling swivel in forend. Both on left side. Comes with bayonet & scabbard. This is the second series Kokura arsenal carbine, appears to be all matching #'s (249) this is not the serial number in this series. Nice Carbine/bayonet package FFL or C&R Req - Value: 500 to 1000
