Manurhin, Model P1 (Walther Clone), Cal. 9MM, Semi-Auto, French service pistol, MFG: 1950's, SN: 229059, 4 7/8'' barrel, come the end of WWII, those weapons factories that hadn't been destroyed during the conflict were shut down, sometimes with their equipment removed and shipped off, other times the entire factory placed under the control & management of one of the occupying powers, as was the case with the Walther facility, where the P38 was produced. The factory was passed into the control of the French & under the new management the facility started operating under the name of Manurhin, but used Walther equipment & upheld its quality standards. And so the P38 became the P1, made by Manurhin, with some minor post-war design changes which is believed were the work of Walther engineers. On this pistol the plastic checkered grips are very good, Metal finish is 98%, Bore is excellent, Two stamped markings on right side of slide after striations, Left side of front upper trigger guard has a Primrose stamp. Excellent example. FFL Req. - Value: 350 to 650
