Smith & Wesson, .44 Hand Ejector 4th Model Target, aka''Model of 1950 .44 Target'' & ''Pre-Model 24'', CAL: 44 S&W SPL, MFG: 1955-56, SN: S142002, Double Action Revolver, 6 1/2'' barrel. The replacement grips are excellent. There are handling marks & minor flaking to the high-gloss finish. The metal blue finish rates 97% overall. The case-hardened trigger & hammer retain vivid case colors. Bore is excellent. Factory adjustable rear target sight & ramp elevated blade front sight. Matching SN can be found on the butt, cylinder & ejector shroud. Trigger shoe present. This model had a rather long production period, from 1950-1966, but there were only about 5,050 made according to ''The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson'' by Supica & Nahas, making this a somewhat scarce model. A nice example of a S&W Model of 1950 .44 Target revolver to add to a Smith & Wesson collection. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
