J. Stevens A & T Co. Model 109. Cal. 32-40. MFG:1893-95 SN:2310. Single shot lever action falling block rifle. 28'' Octagon/round heavy barrel. The original straight grip stock & Schnabel tipped forearm are original & excellent. The stocks carry lovely rippled grain & the original finish, with some light dings & scratches. Lever carries the round wood ball insert. Barrel retains 80% of the original factory bluing, toned fully to a plum finish. Barrel marked: J. STEVENS A & T CO. CHICOPEE FALLS. MASS USA. APR. 17.94. Receiver & lever retain muted case-colors fading from use. Barrel is stamped under the forend with the ''109'' & caliber ''32 40''. Rifle carries a venier tang sight with graduations & a disk with 6 aperture adjustments. Barrel carries a spirit level rear & globe front sights. Buttstock carries a nickeled Swiss style buttplate. Bore is very good. Action is tight & appears to function well. This is another rare rifle in wonderful original & collectors condition. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 3000
