C. Sharps Arms Co. Inc. Model 1885 Highwall/Lo wall Classic Rifle. Cal:.38-40. SN 85-1167. Modern. Lever Action Single Shot Rifle, 26 '' Octagon/round heavy barrel. Marked on top flat:'' OLD RELIABLE - C. SHARPS ARMS CO. INC. - BIG TIMBER MONTANA USA. - CALIBER 38 WCF'' - then on left side of receiver: ''C. SHARPS ARMS CO. INC - BIG TIMBER. MONTANA USA. 85-1167, on bottom of round barrel just ahead of forend is number ''3''. Modern rifle in as new condition. Schnabel style forend with Silver inlay. Oil finished premium straight striped grain American Walnut, with cheekrest & case-hardened crescent steel buttplate. Front sight is case-hardened & brass globe with post. Rear sight is deluxe casehardened long range tang w/windage & large 1 1/8'' eyecup w/ 5 apertures. The barrel & other metal surfaces are as-new, with vivid case-coloring. Adjustable single trigger. Bore is as new, possibly never fired.. Approx 9 lbs., 4 Oz. This is a gorgeous rifle in both in the wood & metal finishes. FFL Req - Value: 2500 to 5000
