WONDERFUL Winchester Model 1886, CAL: 38-56, MFG: 1890, SN: 40313, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel. Full Mag. This rifle was professionally restored to factory standards. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent, displaying very few tiny finish level rubs. The fit to metal is excellent, just as it should be. The stocks display attractive grain. The proper tone metal blue finish is 99%+ on barrel & mag. The case-hardened receiver, lever, hammer, forend cap & buttplate all display fantastic & vivid case-color. Bore is excellent with strong rifling. The barrel carries a two leaf folding rear sight & standard 86 front sight. Stock carries an upper tang crescent metal buttplate. Action is crisp & tight. Set trigger. The rifle comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Record Letter which confirms the current configuration.
