RARE DELUXE Winchester, Model 1894 HALF NICKEL, marked 30 WCF Cal., MFG. 1898, SN: 46785, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag., The very rare, deluxe, half nickel rifle has an unusual history. According to a Cody records search, the rifle was originally shipped from the factory on 8-13-1898, making it an antique. It was returned to the factory just three months later on 11-11-1898, for unknown reason. It was also returned in 1915 & finally in 1937. It is likely that on one of these visits the rifle was fully factory restored to it present configuration & fabulous condition. The deluxe, capped pistol grip & checkered stocks are excellent, solid & original. The high grade deluxe wood displays excellent flame figured grain. Stocks have a few very minor finish level scratches & handling marks. The barrel, mag., lever & hammer retain 98% of their factory blue finish, while the nickeled receiver, forend cap & crescent buttplate also retain 98% factory finish. The barrel is marked Model 94 & was a factory replacement at the time of restoration. The bore is excellent. Mounted with an adjustable buckhorn rear sight & Lyman folding globe front sight with ivory. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory record search form with configuration & the historical dates. This is an absolutely fantastic deluxe & nickeled 1894 with wonderful figure in wood. Highly collectible. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 8000 to 15000
