Winchester, Model 1894, .32-40, MFG. 1908, SN: 426102, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon Barrel, Button mag., The wood stocks are very good, solid & original. The stocks do not look to have been sanded, but there is some shrinkage at the toe of the stock & at the ear corners of the wrist. There are small handling marks, scratches & contusions, along with a darkening of the wood due to use & added oils. There is a vacated hole along the belly of the stock where a sling stud once resided. The metal shows 75% coverage of original blue finish on barrel, while the receiver has mostly silvered with a thin layer of brown patina & about 20% blue remaining in protected areas. Barrel carries the original buckhorn adjustable rear & front sights. Winchester crescent metal buttplate. Bore is very good with strong rifling, but some roughness. An original button mag rifle in an early & popular caliber, making it a collectible rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2400
