Marlin, Model 1881, marked 32-40 Cal., MFG. 1887, SN: 16431, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag., This rifle has been fully & professionally restored to the highest standard. The factory wood stocks are excellent & solid. The forend has three repaired hairline grain cracks which are solid & not distracting. The restored finish is excellent with a couple of light finish scuffs. The restored metal blue finish is retained at approximately 99% on the barrel & mag. The case-hardened receiver, lever & hammer display vivid & wonderful case-colors. The stock carries the original crescent metal buttplate. Barrel carries an original adjustable rear sight & a Rocky Mountain front blade sight. Action remains tight & smooth. Bore is very good. A very attractive early Marlin rifle in high esthetic condition. No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
