Marlin, Model 1893 Short Rifle, marked 32-40 Cal., MFG. 1907, SN: 392478, Lever Action Rifle, 20'' Half round half octagon barrel, Marked ''SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL''. Full mag., The original wood stocks are excellent & solid. The original finish is very good with few very minor contusions or scuffs. The original metal blue finish is retained at approximately 85% on the barrel & 70% on mag. The case-hardened receiver, lever & hammer display the smokey outlines of faded case-colors, with some protected areas retaining colors. The stock carries the original black plastic buttplate, with a small edge chip at toe. Barrel carries an original adjustable rear sight & a Rocky Mountain style front blade sight. Action remains tight & smooth. Bore is excellent. An excellent example of a rare short rifle in high original condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2400
