Marlin, Model 1893 SRC, marked 32-40 Cal., MFG. 1893-96, SN: D6581, Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, 20'' round barrel, Half mag., One of only 4086 carbines produced & even fewer with the half mag. Original wood is very good & solid, with original finish thinning from normal use & carrying added protective oils. There are two tiny chips at the right corners of the stock where the wood meets the receiver. There are numerous small scuffs, scratches & contusions. The barrel & mag retain 90% of original blue. The case-hardened receiver & lever have toned gun metal gray, with some remaining case-colors in protected areas. Stock carries a carbine metal buttplate. Mounted with a folding rear sight & ivory bead front carbine sight. Original saddle ring. Tight action. Bore is excellent. Very nice original condition saddle ring carbine. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
