Marlin Model 1893 SRC, CAL: 38-55, MFG: 1893-96, SN: C3538, Lever Action Carbine, 20'' round tapered barrel. Full mag. The straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The stocks have a nice look after having been lightly sanded, with a period matching finish. Stocks carry a 1'' repaired chip on the right/top of the wrist, with some surface light surface contusions. The metal sits even or a bit proud to the wood. The metal blue finish is 70% on barrel, 10% on mag tube & receiver, with the areas of loss developing a thin brown patina. The case-hardened lever has faded case-colors. Barrel carries chattered vice scars on the barrel. Bore is excellent with prominent rifling. The barrel is fitted with a fixed rear sight with flip-up leaf & blade front sight. Stock carries a metal carbine buttplate. Nice looking SRC in the rarest 38-55 caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2500
