Savage Model 99, CAL: 300 SAV, MFG: 1937-38, SN: 380812, Lever Action Take-down Rifle, 24'' round tapered barrel. The checkered, capped pistol grip wood stocks are very good, displaying the original factory finish. There are four kill notches on the left shoulder of stock & multiple small contusions & surface scrapes or blemishes. The metal blue finish is 80% on the barrel & receiver with the lever action displaying faded case-coloring. Bore is excellent with defined rifling. The barrel is fitted with a Williams adjustable rear sight & ramp style blade front sight. Swing swivels. Ventilated brown rubber buttpad. A good hunting rifle in a popular caliber of the period.
