Remington-Lee Model 1889 Standard Sporter, CAL: 32-40 H.P, MFG: 1917, SN: 76230, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' round tapered barrel. This firearm was non professionally refinished. The original round pistol grip, sporting wood stock with forend finger groove is very good as sanded & refinished. The stock displays small contusions & blemishes, with a 3'' hairline crack on the left side of the forearm. The stock has a ebony insert at the tip of the forearm. The metal blue refinish is 90%, but some of the letting has been buffed thin. Bore is very good with strong defined rifling. Receiver fitted with an adjustable Lyman receiver sight, no rear provision & lifted front blade sight. Smooth crescent metal buttplate. Standard three side groove Lee-Diss magazine. A nice looking & likely still very shootable old Remington-Lee Sporting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
