Remington, Model 81, marked .30 Rem Cal., MFG. 1937, SN: 2283, Semi-auto take-down rifle, 22'' barrel, 5 shot fixed magazine. The original factory flat knob pistol grip stock & forearm are very good & solid. The factory finish on the stock is flaking off, with the remaining finish crazing from use. The stock carries numerous dings, scratches & a hairline crack at the wrist, along with an open hole along the belly from where a sling swivel once resided. The beavertail forend has been lightly sanded & refinished, having a very nice appearance. The factory blue finish is mostly worn away, retaining 20% toning to a brown patina. Factory metal buttplate, Bore is very good, Standard front & rear sights. Tight action. Should be a good shooter. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
