Custom Built Muzzleloader, CAL: 45, MFG: N/A, SN: NONE, Percussion Cap Muzzle Loading Black Powder Rifle, 26 1/2'' Heavy octagon barrel. The rifle looks to have been built from several parts of other rifles. The side plate is marked ''SHARPS PATENT 1853'' & along with the hammer was taken & modified from a Sharps 1853 slant breech rifle. The barrel is marked, ''SHARP'S RIFLE MANFG CO. HARTFORD CONN.'' The straight grip wood stock is fair with multiple cracks at wrist, breech& breech, some fill repairs & edge chips, with the finish exhibiting numerous surface marks & staining. Stock missing the Sharps patch box cover in the stock. The metal is fully brown with pitting & standing rust on the entirety of the metal. The bore is fair & dark. Double set trigger. Barrel is fitted with a adjustable open rear sight that's missing the elevator & blade style front sight. The stock is missing the front end pin which holds the stock firm to the barrel. The carries a single swivel. Rifle has modern ramrod. NO FFL Req - Value: 100 to 300
