Schmidt-Ruben. Model 1911 Carbine. Cal. 7.5x55 Swiss. MFG 1919. SN: 90515. Swiss made straight pull bolt action rifle. 24'' barrel. Stock is original walnut in good, but well-used condition with age/oil darkening, scratches & dings throughout. Wood to metal fit is very good. Swiss cross in shield stamped on stock. Interwoven ''PB & Swiss cross ''+ M'' in box stamped on top of receiver ring. SN on left side of receiver ring, along with ''P'' (privately owned after military use) & ''29''. Matching SN on bolt & magazine floorplate. Barrel, trigger guard & receiver bluing are 85%, other metal parts are worn, with little bluing remaining. Mounted with a well made tangent leaf adjustable rear sight, with graduation marks from 3 to 15 (out to 1500 meters). Front sight is original windage adjustable blade sight with protective ears on both sides. Bore is in excellent condition, shiny, with sharp visible rifling. Stacking rod & bayonet lug & sling swivels all present in good condition. Well-worn Military style steel buttstock with light rust spots throughout. Action fully functional and is very tight. Overall condition is very good with all parts original & complete. This particular rifle is unusual in that there are no import markings on rifle anywhere. The Swiss straight pull rifles are old-world quality Swiss manufacturing & are extremely accurate out to 1000 + yards. Comes with a Swiss snap on brass/steel muzzle protector.
