Remington Model 550-1, 22 SHORT, LONG or LONG RIFLE, MFG: 1952, SN:NONE, Blowback Semi-Auto Rifle, 24'' round tapered barrel. Similar to the model 550 except with a single extractor rather than double extractor. The stock is a custom made replacement. The flat pistol grip, military style, full length, custom wood stock is very good, displaying a shiny finish & multiple minor surface marks & contusions. The stock carries a ''B'' medallion affixed to the flat knob pistol grip & there is an interesting brass forend tip . The original metal blue finish is 80% on barrel & receiver, with some spot fading. Bore is excellent & bright. Marbles replacement adjustable rear sight & Lyman blade front sight. The stock carries a dry & hard White Line Junior buttpad which likely needs replacement. Attached sling swivels with leather sling. The magazine tube plunger has been modified with an extension to work with the longer length of the stock. Interesting customization. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
