Winchester Model 55, CAL: 22 S.L or L.R., MFG: 1958-1961, SN: NONE, Semi-Auto Single Shot Rifle, 21 1/2'' barrel. The flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent with only a few minor surface defects, after being lightly sanded & nicely re-finished. There is a tightly repaired grain crack that runs along the belly of the stock. The metal blue is 80% on receiver, 50% on barrel, with surface wear & blemishes & buffed cleaning contributing to the loss of finish. Bore is excellent. Barrel has open adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Original Winchester buttplate. An unusual & rare rifle, with only 45,000 produced. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
