J Stevens A&T Co Model ''Favorite'', CAL: 25 Stevens, MFG: 1889, SN: G89, Falling Block Lever Action Rifle, 22'' octagon/round barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. They carry the original finish, with an added coat of oil. The stocks display a few small contusions or scrapes, with light blemishes to the finish. The original metal blue finish rates 90% with light spotting. The case-hardened receiver & lever display vivid case-colors, which are starting to transition in areas of wear to a brown patina. Bore is very good & bright with strong rifling. The original Stevens buttplate was broken & partially lost on the top, with the lost chip portion professionally replaced & repaired. The rifle carries a Lyman flip-up tang peep sight, a factory fixed rear & front sight. Comes with what appears to be the original matching SN# hang tag, a rare full box of Western 25 Stevens & the original box for the Lyman tang sight.This is a fantastic example of a rare, high condition & mostly original Favorite.* Antique No FFL Req - Value: 1200 to 2500
